Join the RECK Revolution! Help transform the world for the better by treating all people with Respect, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness (RECK).

All means all! Let’s be respectful, empathetic, compassionate, and kind to ALL people, whether we agree with them or not. This is how we coexist despite our differences. This is how we create a more peaceful world where we all work together for the betterment of all.

When we are making a decision that affects others, we can ask ourselves the following questions to help us decide if our course of action is the best one: 1. Is it respectful? 2. Is it empathetic? 3. Is it compassionate? 4. Is it kind? If it’s not all of these things, then you might want to consider adjusting course.

Be a friend to all and an enemy to none. Let’s treat all people with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness.

Be the person for children that you needed when you were a child.

Compassion is a wonderful gift that we can give to those who are suffering. It says, “You are not alone.” Compassion says, “I care about you and want to try to help you feel better.” It is the key to a more caring and healthier humanity.

“Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? There are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and in the life to come.” -Henri Nouwen

“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” -Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Happy Peace Day! Today, all day, can you treat all people with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness?

“Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in this world, but it has not solved one yet.” -Maya Angelou

When given the choice between being kind and being right, choose kind and you will always be right.

Dare to Care

Human connection is so vitally important. When someone is struggling, just being a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on can make a world of difference. You don’t have to fix everything to make things better. Just be there. Just care.

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.” -William Ernest Henley

How might our world look differently if all men respected all women? We’d probably see more women in leadership. More women leading companies and serving in congress. If all men respected women’s bodies and boundaries then we could see an end to physical and sexual abuse of women. Respect is more essential than we often give it credit for being. Yet our world could be beautifully and positively transformed through it.

If you see someone without a smile… Give them one of yours!

Imagine a world without child abuse. A world where all children are treated with Respect, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness (RECK).

When we talk about creating a more loving world we must think about inspiring more love in all people, including ourselves. We must not think about eliminating anyone, even hateful people, because that is not love. In order to spread love, we must be love.

Racism, sexism, ageism, ableism… just think of all the “isms” we could defeat if we simply all treated one another with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness. Spread the word!

I’m not sure what to do about people who don’t seem to care about others. But I know this, you can’t hate people into being loving. And I feel better when my heart is filled with love instead of hate. So, I’m going to keep being loving and hope for the best.

“Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.” -Blaise Pascal

Kindness makes you a beautiful person no matter what you look like.

“One of the most important things you can do on this Earth is to let people know they are not alone.” -Shannon L. Alder

Let’s all do our best to remain respectful, empathetic, compassionate and kind to one another, in spite of everything.

Let’s make it a world where people are kind and respectful towards one another. One where we all genuinely care for and about each other. A world where everyone is treated with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness (RECK).

Let’s make racism a thing of the past. Name racism when you see it and invite people to do better. Let’s work towards a world with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness for all. We can do better!

Live in opposition to hate and division. Treat all people with: Respect, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness.

Look for good and kindness in others. It is there. Life might have taught them to hide these traits, but they are always there. All people are born compassionate, empathetic, and caring beings capable of giving and receiving love.

It’s often unhelpful to make assumptions and generalizations about people. The truth is that people are complex and their reasons for doing things might be very different than we expect. We are better off to talk to people, and try to get to know them and understand them. People are often better and more well intentioned than we give them credit for being.

Make it a great day by treating everyone with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness… especially the people you love the most!

Men, we can and should hold one another accountable for sexism when we see it. It is worth working to change each other’s hearts and minds. A brighter future is possible in which all women are treated with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness.

Offer a word or two of encouragement when you can. You never know who might need those gentle reminders more than anything.

Let’s create a brighter future by pledging to treat all people with Respect, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness (RECK).

Respect is a solid foundation upon which to build constructive relationships. No matter how different a person is from you, if you treat that person with respect they are more likely to respect you in return. Upon this foundation, trust and mutual understanding can be built. So, treat every person you meet with respect and you’ll be amazed by the results!

The power of kindness is often underrated. Just a few kind words, spoken at the right moment, have the power to save a life.

There are two types of people in this world: 1. Those who treat all people with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness. 2. Those who should please start to treat all people with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness.

There is value in treating everyone with respect. People appreciate being treated respectfully. This is especially true for people who don’t always get treated with respect.

There’s no excuse for domestic abuse. Please, let’s all treat everyone with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness.

There’s no reason to live in a world filled with hate. Let’s all strive to treat one another with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness. Together, we can obliterate hate!

Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says things will be alright in the end.

Why is it that it’s the people we love the most that we sometimes treat the worst? We can prevent that by always treating them with Respect, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness (RECK).

Treat yourself with love and respect, and you will attract people who treat you with love and respect.

Treating everyone with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness can help to develop trust. When you treat others by these principles, they will learn that they can trust you and trust your judgment. “Try to love someone who you want to hate, because they are just like you, somewhere inside.” -Margaret Cho

It is not appropriate for us to think we are better than anyone else because of the color of their skin. We are all equal. We should be respectful, empathetic, compassionate, and kind to all people, no matter what they look like.

It is possible to live in a world where everyone treats everyone else with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness. If we each keep doing it, we can help change the world through our examples.

We, collectively, choose the kind of world we want to live in, every day. We choose it through our speech and actions. We choose it through how we treat one another. Let’s choose a world where everyone is treated with respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness (RECK).

We need to make an effort to remain respectful towards one another if we are going to achieve any meaningful political dialogue.

We will have more peace soon after we make up our minds to have more respect and empathy for one another.

A thought for the day: What’s your compassion? What are you passionate about that brings more compassion into the world?

When others hurt us, we are better off to address that they hurt us with them, rather than to lash out at them and cause them harm in return. Often, people cause hurt without realizing what they have done.

When we are disrespectful, unempathetic, uncompassionate, or unkind we do harm. We damage relationships. We cause pain. In order to move through life in a positive way that lifts people up, it is best to remain respectful, empathetic, compassionate, and kind. It takes discipline and mindfulness, but it is worth it. It will help us create better relationships and improve the lives of those with whom we interact.

Wishing you a terrific start to the week! As you go through the week, make an effort to keep the values of respect, empathy, compassion, and kindness in your heart and mind. Do your best to give the world your best self.

…and more to come!
